  Lithuanian Mercy Lift (LML) is a not-for-profit charitable
organization that
provides medical and humanitarian aid to improve healthcare in
Lithuania.
Some
may question if there is a continuing need for medical and
humanitarian aid to Lithuania’s sick and needy - the children, their
parents and the elderly. The answer is a resounding yes! Although the
healthcare system has made significant progress since 1990, it cannot
be expected to overcome the challenges facing a newly independent
country. Unfortunately, many Lithuanians continue
to struggle with poverty and health problems, particularly in rural
areas and small towns.
